Katherine M. Perry is an International Public Health Advisor and Consultant, with healthcare in Africa as her area of specialization. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Howard University, a certificate in midwifery from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University. Equipped with these, she has led a variety of healthcare interventions on the African continent; small teams of researchers interfacing with traditional healers on a National Institutes of Health program, administering a private hospital, collaborating with host country governments, local and international implementing partners, initiating educational programs, and coordinating a remarkably successful, multi-million-dollar US State Department lifesaving initiative. Known for her inclusive leadership style and inter-cultural sensitivity, her experience has spanned urban and rural healthcare challenges in both East and West Africa.
