Karikari Achireko Kwagyan

Karikari Achireko Kwagyan is a Graduate Research Assistant at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEPR) and the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) and currently pursuing an S.M. in Technology and Policy at MIT. He is passionate about investments needed to transition to a low carbon economy and building a green electric grid and financing investments in energy markets. Before joining CEEPR, Karikari worked in the energy sector in Ghana as a consultant in energy consulting and telecommunication business at the Electricity Company of Ghana with his work focused on power system planning, power project planning including feasibility study, project implementation, project management, network design and energy trading. Karikari holds a bachelor’s degree (First Class Honors) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
