Korede Kaneto Akinsete
Founder of Ko Concepts
Korede Kaneto Akinsete is a communications strategist and storyteller working at the intersection of branding, social impact, and culture. She is the Founder of Ko Concepts, a multidisciplinary studio that helps purpose-driven organizations, visionary executives, and creative entrepreneurs bring bold ideas to life through strategy and storytelling. Her work spans philanthropy, business, and the creative economy — from leading global communications for Rise, a $1 billion talent initiative, to shaping strategy for a Ford Foundation–backed summit that convened 100 Black women executives across the diaspora in Bahia, Brazil.
As a writer, Korede covers art, music, and culture from Africa and its diaspora, with bylines in ESSENCE, Blavity, OkayAfrica, The Republic, and AMAKA Studio. She is an alum of the Vox Media Writer’s Workshop and has led a campaign recognized by the prestigious PR Week Awards.
Based between New York and Lagos, Korede’s work reflects her global mindset, curious spirit and purpose-oriented ethos. She holds a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University.
