J. Eric Wright

J. Eric Wright is an investor and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience across Africa and the U.S. He is the co-founder of Vibranium Capital Group, a private equity firm investing in African and U.S. markets. Previously, he founded Africa Venture Partners, a pan-African investment firm in Johannesburg, South Africa, and was a founding executive at Citigroup South Africa, leading private equity and venture capital investments. J. Eric co-founded Accelon, a Nigeria-based satellite broadband operator (later sold to Internet Solutions/Dimension Data), TowerShare, a wireless tower company in the Middle East and South Asia, and Gold Coast Securities, an investment bank in Ghana. He also founded the Africa MBA Indaba Conference and the STEM Career Expo. He has served on the investment committee of the National Empowerment Fund and was a special advisor to the U.S. government’s Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund. His non-profit work includes board roles with the African Leadership Academy, chairman of Afrika Tikkun USA, and the Education Development Center (EDC), supporting education, health, and economic opportunity globally. J. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Wharton.
