Othmane Rifki

Othmane Rifki, a Physics PhD trained at CERN in Geneva, is an applied AI scientist specializing in multimodal Generative AI. His work covers a range of challenges from fundamental algorithmic research to internet-scale products with millions of users, tackling complex issues like language comprehension, creative writing, realistic speech synthesis, and artistic image generation. Currently, Othmane is Head of Generative AI at Pocket FM, a Series D entertainment platform backed by Lightspeed Ventures, where he leads a global team of 20 AI scientists and engineers. Leveraging Generative AI, Othmane's team is transforming long-form media by expanding Pocket FM’s content library and providing highly personalized recommendations to listeners, readers, and viewers worldwide. Originally from Morocco, Othmane is passionate about advancing Africa's role in the AI age and remains active in the broader AI community, contributing to leading conferences, panels, and invited talks across academia and industry worldwide.
