Raza Hasnani
MD, Head of Infrastructure Investments, Africa50
Raza Hasnani has thirty years of infrastructure, private equity, and impact investing experience in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe. He is Managing Director of, and leads, the infrastructure investments business at Africa50 (a $900 million fund) and is focused on making private equity and growth investments into greenfield and brownfield projects as well as platforms. Previously, he was at a global private equity firm for a decade. He has also led project and corporate financings for energy and infrastructure projects around the world while at Exxon Mobil Corporation in Dallas and Houston. He started his career at Deloitte in Philadelphia. Mr. Hasnani has invested in renewable and conventional power plants, electric and gas utilities, healthcare, education, electric mobility, manufacturing, pipelines, ports, terminals, upstream, processing plants, and transportation, among other sectors. He serves multiple companies as Board Chairman, Board & Committee Member, and on a private equity fund investment committee. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Franklin and Marshall College and is also a CPA and FCA.
