Afolabi Imoukhuede

Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede is the CEO of PIER Investments Limited and author of the memoir Never an Afterthought, which chronicles his journey from the private sector to impactful public service. As a passionate advocate for change and development, he served as the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Job Creation from 2015 to 2019, leading the N-Power Job Creation component of President Buhari’s National Social Investment Programme. His efforts focused on generating sustainable economic opportunities in sectors such as Agriculture, Construction, Retail, Renewable Energy, and ICT. Before this national role, Mr. Imoukhuede was the founding CEO of MCS Consulting Limited. A professional accountant, he has deep expertise in international development, with a focus on construction, real estate, and small business development. Additionally, he is a certified consultant in Project Management and Human Capital, specializing in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). He is the initiator of the #SkillUp initiative, a technical skills development program designed to build skilled technicians and entrepreneurs in partnership with City & Guilds of London, the government, and industries. Mr. Imoukhuede is a sought-after speaker on topics related to national development, particularly education for employment, job creation, skills development, economic inclusion, and affordable housing.
