Ram Mahidhara

Ram Mahidhara is a seasoned executive and board director with extensive experience guiding organizations through sustainability initiatives and complex financial landscapes in emerging markets. He brings a unique blend of operational expertise, strategic leadership, and a strong track record in stakeholder management, with over two decades at the IFC (World Bank Group).
During his 22-year career at IFC, Ram worked on asset and portfolio management in Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia, in strategy, investment, and managerial positions. One such stint was in sub-Saharan Africa, where he spent almost nine years, including four managing an infrastructure portfolio of over US$2.7 billion. Prior to leaving IFC in 2019, Ram also managed the implementation of a US$2.5 billion multi-institutional infrastructure co-lending program. More recently, Ram co-founded an innovative climate/ESG fintech, growing it to six anchor clients and 900 companies.
Ram holds certifications in risk, governance, and board management and has been a trusted consultant to two of the world’s largest multilateral institutions, designing and structuring multi-billion dollar global industrial decarbonization programs and investment strategies. Ram has been an invited speaker at more than 50 events in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and sub-Saharan Africa.
